The Nintendo 3DS is a portable game system...
In a period of multifunctional smartphones, the 3DS mostly tries to do something very well: Play games. At its simplest, it is the kind of Nintendo portable you recognize and love: a gaming console on your pocket.
...having a wide, 3.5-inch 3D screen on the top...
The 3DS' pièce de résistance is its 3D screen-now widescreen, perhaps a ordinary 16 x 9-a component the world thinks to be created by Sharp. And do not be anxious, it's not going to need you to put on ridiculous glasses on the subway. Instead, it uses parallax-based technology to generate the illusion which the graphics and characters are popping right out of the screen.
...including a 3D Depth Slider...
You can in fact slide exactly how 3D you would like the 3D screen having a dimmer-like slider at the right side of your 3DS. That will enable yourself to fine-tune the quantity of 3D you would like, and also change for the particular viewing distance.
...together with a 2D touchscreen...
Just like the DS, the lower screen of your 3DS is actually a stylus-based touchscreen.
...and much more horsepower...
Unfortunately we cannot know how much more power the 3DS has, but expect a improved graphics. To your naked eye, we considered the early tease video of Kid Icarus Uprising to become Wii-quality.
...as well as other controls...
It's also bundled up along with other controls, including a motion sensor, gyroscope and touch slider, an analog stick like that you will find even on a PS3 or Xbox controller.
...deeply integrated Wi-Fi...
The 3DS has Wi-Fi, not cellular 3G or 4G wireless tech. However it works in the background, even caching data for later, to ensure that carrying around your 3DS can unlock such things as new levels and characters in games the whole day.
...and 2 (or three) cameras...
The 3DS includes a top, front facing camera just like the DSi. Almost all includes a dual-lensed, true stereoscopic 3D camera within the back of the case. Therefore it is a 3D camera...but unfortunately we cannot be aware of resolution of said camera at this time.
...that plays old DS games...
The 3DS is totally backward works with the DS/DSi.
...but is really a true sequel towards the DS...
The DS Lite, the DSi and the DSi XL all came right after the original Nintendo DS, however ,, these were mostly just aesthetic redesigns of the same basic DS platform. The 3DS is backward suitable for old DS titles, however it is a real platform all its own that could play games that won't work on older DSs.
